Varangerfestivalen inviterer deg som er ung musiker, artist eller spiller i band, til å søke vår Open Call: Nordic Edition – en unik sjanse for unge nordiske musikktalenter til å vise seg frem for nytt publikum og få profesjonell festivalerfaring.
🔍 Vi søker:
Unge musikere, soloartister og band i alderen 16–26 år fra Norge, Sverige, Danmark, Finland og Island, innen alle sjangre. Du må ha eget materiale og spille på et profesjonelt nivå, men være i startfasen av karrieren.

Varangerfestivalen Open Call 2026: Nordic Edition
Would you like to perform at one of the biggest festivals in the Arctic Northern Norway?
Varangerfestivalen invites young musicians, artists, and bands to apply for our Open Call: Nordic Edition – a unique opportunity for emerging Nordic music talents to perform for a new audience and gain professional festival experience.
🔍 We are looking for:
Young musicians, solo artists, and bands aged 16–26 from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, within any genre. You must perform your own original material, be at a professional level, and be in the early stages of your career.
🎯 What we offer:
A concert slot at Varangerfestivalen 2026
Travel and accommodation covered
Technical and production support
Mentoring and networking opportunities through the festival
Artist pass to the full festival program
🧠 We are looking for:
Musical quality and originality
Strong stage presence and expression
Motivation and a desire to grow
Ability to perform a 25-minute concert
📅 Important dates:
Application deadline: March 1st, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Notification: by April 1st
Performance date: Thursday, August 6th – during Varangerfestivalen in Vadsø (week 32)

Names and ages of all performers

A short description of your music and why you want to perform with us
Promo materials: biography, photos, and preferably a live performance video
